Invest. Partner. Prosper. Building on South Africa’s Promise

The Sixth South Africa Investment Conference (SAIC), with the ambition of attracting R3 trillion in new investment commitments over the next five years, took place in Johannesburg on 31 March 2026, bringing together Ministers, dignitaries and business leaders committed to unlocking South Africa’s growth potential 🤝. In his opening remarks, His Excellency President Cyril Ramaphosa shared that “South Africa presents a favourable proposition as a resilient, credible and reform‑oriented investment destination with strong fundamentals.”

The conference, attended by leaders such as Deputy President Paul Mashatile, Minister of Electricity and Energy Kgosientsho Ramokgopa, Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure Dean Macpherson, reflected strong alignment between government and business in advancing the theme “Invest, Partner and Prosper” 📈.

With a continued presence of over 15 years in South Africa, ENGIE was proud to be present at SAIC as a company with a vested interest in the country and a committed contributor to its sustainable future 🌍. ENGIE attended the conference alongside the French South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FSACCI), reinforcing the strength of French‑South African partnerships and collaboration. Together, this reflects our shared commitment to investing, partnering and prospering in South Africa – today and for generations to come.
