NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO TRADE IN ELECTRICITY

In terms of Section 11 of the Electricity Regulation Act, 2006 (Act No. 4 of 2006); ENGIE Energy Marketing South Africa Proprietary Limited hereby notifies all residents in KwaZulu-Natal that a trading licence application has been lodged with the National Energy Regulator (NERSA). Subject to the approval of the Energy Regulator, this trading activities will be the purchase by ENGIE Energy Marketing South Africa Proprietary Limited of renewable energy from Illovo Sugar South Africa Proprietary Limited (Sezela Sugar Mill) and the sale thereof to Avon Peaking Power Proprietary Limited situated in Shakaskraal, KwaZulu Natal; and Dedisa Peaking Power Proprietary Limited situated in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape.

The licence application is available for inspection at Sezela Public Library

All interested parties and/or any member of the public may lodge written objections with NERSA, within 30 days from the date of this publication. Such objections must be in a form of an affidavit and must be directed to NERSA through any of the addresses below:
